    If you are driving from Edisto Island, start by heading north on SC-174 toward the Edisto Beach State Park. Continue for about 10 miles, then merge onto US-17 N toward Charleston. Stay on US-17 N for approximately 35 miles. Once you reach Charleston, follow the signs for the downtown area and take the exit for Lockwood Drive. Turn left onto Lockwood Drive and continue until it intersects with Broad Street. Turn right onto Broad Street, then left onto Concord Street. The Fort Sumter Visitor Education Center will be on your right at 340 Concord St.
