From the center of Black Elk Peak, head south on South Dakota Highway 87 (SD-87). Continue for about 6 miles until you reach the intersection with South Dakota Highway 244 (SD-244). Turn left onto SD-244 East and follow the road for about 4 miles. As you approach the junction with South Dakota Highway 16 (SD-16), stay on SD-244, and shortly afterward, you will see signs for Cosmos Mystery Area. Turn right onto Cosmos Road and continue for about 1 mile. The Cosmos Mystery Area will be on your left at 24040 Cosmos Rd, Rapid City, SD 57702.
