Car
From Santiago de Compostela, take the AP-9 highway towards A Coruña. After approximately 50 km, take exit 21 toward N-550/Tui. Continue on N-550 for about 10 km, then merge onto the A-6 towards Madrid. After about 550 km, take exit 30 for M-30 toward Madrid-Centro. Follow signs for Retiro and exit at the Retiro area. You can park at nearby parking facilities, such as 'Parking Retiro' which may charge around €2-€3 per hour. From the parking area, walk towards the Retiro Park where Fuente de los Galápagos is located.

Public Transportation - Train
Start at Santiago de Compostela train station (Estación de tren de Santiago de Compostela). Take a train to Madrid (Renfe operates services). The journey takes around 6-7 hours and prices vary from €30 to €60 depending on the time of booking and class. Once you arrive at Madrid's Atocha train station, exit the station and walk towards the Atocha metro station. Take line 1 (light blue) towards Pinar de Chamartín and transfer at Antón Martín to line 2 (red) towards Cuatro Caminos. Get off at Retiro station. From there, walk to Retiro Park, where Fuente de los Galápagos is located.

From Santiago de Compostela, head to the bus station (Estación de Autobuses de Santiago de Compostela). Take a bus to Madrid (several companies operate this route, including ALSA). The bus journey takes about 8-9 hours and costs approximately €20-€50. Once you arrive at Estación Sur in Madrid, take metro line 6 (circular line) to Nuevos Ministerios. Transfer to line 10 (dark blue) towards Puerta del Sur and get off at Tribunal station. Then, transfer to line 1 (light blue) towards Valdecarros and get off at Retiro station. Walk towards Retiro Park to reach Fuente de los Galápagos.
