From Matara Railway Station, head east on Station Road until you reach the junction with Kekanadura Road. Turn right onto Kekanadura Road and continue straight for about 1.5 km. You will pass several local shops and eateries along the way. When you reach the roundabout, take the second exit onto B410 Road towards Tangalle. Continue walking for approximately 2 km, enjoying the scenic views. Look for signs directing you to Galgodakanda (Minikirula Raja Maha Viharaya) on your left. The temple is located a short distance off the main road.

From Matara Bus Station, take a local bus heading towards Tangalle. Buses to Tangalle run frequently, so you shouldn’t have to wait long. Inform the conductor you want to go to Galgodakanda (Minikirula Raja Maha Viharaya). The bus will take you along B410 Road. After approximately 30 minutes, you will reach a stop near the temple. Disembark and look for signage directing you to the temple, which is a short walk from the bus stop.

You can find tuk-tuks near popular areas in Matara, such as the beach or the bus station. Simply negotiate a fare to Galgodakanda (Minikirula Raja Maha Viharaya) and provide the driver with the address: B410, Tangalle. The journey takes around 20-25 minutes, depending on traffic. The tuk-tuk can drop you off near the entrance of the temple.
