Getting There

  • Walking

    From the center of Ella, head towards the Ella Railway Station. Once you reach the station, continue past it on the main road (A23) heading towards Wellawaya. After approximately 1.5 kilometers, look for a sign indicating Rakkiththa Kanda Rajamaha Viharaya on your left. Follow the path leading up to the temple, which is located about 500 meters off the main road.

  • Tuk-Tuk

    You can find tuk-tuks easily around Ella. Ask the driver to take you to Rakkiththa Kanda Rajamaha Viharaya. The trip should take about 10-15 minutes depending on traffic. The driver will drop you off near the entrance, from which you can walk the remaining 500 meters to the temple.
