Getting There

    If you are driving from Minneriya National Park, head west on the A1 road (the main highway). Continue for approximately 20 kilometers until you reach the junction with the A6 road. Turn left onto the A6 and drive for about 10 kilometers. Look for the sign for Angammedilla National Park on your right. Follow this road for about 3 kilometers until you reach the park entrance. Make sure to keep an eye out for the entrance sign, as it can be easy to miss.

  • Public Transportation

    To use public transport, first, take a bus from Minneriya to Polonnaruwa. Buses run frequently, so you shouldn't have to wait long. Upon arriving in Polonnaruwa, look for a bus heading to Diyabeduma. This should take you directly to the area near Angammedilla National Park. Confirm with the bus driver that you will be getting off near the park. After disembarking, it’s about a 1-kilometer walk to the park entrance.
