If you are driving a car, head towards the Thivanka Pilimage Road, which is easily accessible from the main roads in Minneriya National Park. Once you reach the main junction, follow the signage towards Polonnaruwa. Continue on Thivanka Pilimage Road for approximately 15 minutes. The Lotus Pond (Ancient Nelum Pokuna) will be on your left. Look for parking areas nearby to leave your vehicle safely.

If you are using public transportation, take a bus from Minneriya to Polonnaruwa. Buses leave regularly from the main bus stop in Minneriya. The fare is around 50 LKR. Once you reach Polonnaruwa, ask locals for directions to Thivanka Pilimage Road, which is a short walk from the bus station. Follow Thivanka Pilimage Road for about 10-15 minutes until you see the Lotus Pond on your right.
