From Polonnaruwa town center, head east on the A11 highway towards Giritale. Continue for about 10 kilometers until you reach the junction for the B400 road. Turn left onto B400 and follow the road for approximately 8 kilometers, passing through several small villages. Keep an eye out for local signage directing you to the Dewagala Archaeological Site. The site is located at V642+MJF Galtalawa, Aralaganwila. Ensure to have a GPS or map for precise navigation.

From Polonnaruwa bus station, take a bus heading towards Giritale. The bus ride takes about 30-40 minutes. Get off at the Giritale Junction. From there, you can either hire a tuk-tuk or a taxi to take you to the Dewagala Archaeological Site. The distance from Giritale Junction to the site is approximately 6 kilometers, and the tuk-tuk fare should be around 300-500 LKR.
