Getting There

    Starting from the Polonnaruwa Ancient City, head northeast on the main road (B5) towards the Dimbulagala area. Continue walking straight for about 3 kilometers until you reach the Unnamed Road. Once you reach the intersection with the Unnamed Road, turn left. Follow this road for approximately 1.5 kilometers. Pulligoda Rajamaha Viharaya will be located on your right side, with a small path leading up to the temple entrance.

  • Bicycle

    Rent a bicycle from one of the many rental shops in Polonnaruwa. Head northeast on the main road (B5) towards Dimbulagala, cycling for about 3 kilometers. When you reach the Unnamed Road, turn left. Continue cycling on this road for about 1.5 kilometers. Pulligoda Rajamaha Viharaya will be on your right, and you can park your bicycle at the entrance.
