Getting There

Car
From Yala National Park, head towards Tissamaharama (Tissa) via the A2 road. Continue on the A2 for approximately 20 kilometers until you reach the junction for the B15 road. Turn left onto the B15 road towards Manampitiya. Follow the B15 for about 30 kilometers until you reach the Manampitiya-Aralaganwila-Maduru Oya Road. Turn right onto this road, and continue for approximately 15 kilometers until you arrive at the entrance of Maduru Oya National Park.

Public Transportation
From Yala National Park, take a bus from Tissamaharama (Tissa) to Aralaganwila. You may need to first travel to Tissa by local tuk-tuk or taxi, which might cost around LKR 1000-1500. The bus fare from Tissa to Aralaganwila is approximately LKR 150. Once you reach Aralaganwila, hire a local tuk-tuk to take you to Maduru Oya National Park, which is about 10 kilometers away. The tuk-tuk fare should be around LKR 500-700.
