From Lugano, head to the Lugano train station (Stazione di Lugano). You can walk there from the city center, following Via Nassa towards the lake, then turn right onto Viale Cattaneo. Once at the station, buy a ticket to Como San Giovanni. The trains run frequently, and the journey takes about 30 minutes. Upon arrival at Como San Giovanni station, exit the train station and head left onto Viale Giuseppe Garibaldi. Continue straight until you reach the intersection with Via Regina Teodolinda. Turn right on Via Regina Teodolinda, and the Basilica of Saint Abundius will be on your right at number 35.

Ferry
From Lugano, walk to the Lugano Ferry Terminal located along the lakeside promenade. You can follow the path from the city center towards the lake, or ask locals for directions to the terminal. Once at the terminal, purchase a ticket for the ferry to Como. The ferry ride will take approximately 30-40 minutes, offering beautiful views of the lake. Once you arrive at Como's ferry terminal, exit and walk straight onto Via V. Emanuele II, then take a left onto Via Regina Teodolinda. The Basilica of Saint Abundius will be located at number 35.

From Lugano, find the nearest bus stop and take the bus line to Como, usually labeled as 'Como' or 'Como San Giovanni'. You can check the local bus schedule at the bus stop or on the official transport app. The bus ride takes about 40 minutes. Upon arrival at the Como bus station, walk towards the city center, following the signs to the Basilica. Head towards Via V.
