    From the center of Zanzibar City, head towards the Forodhani Gardens, which is a popular landmark. From the gardens, walk along the coast towards the west until you reach the Old Fort (Ngome Kongwe). The Old Fort is a good reference point. From the Old Fort, you can take a local dala-dala (minibus) heading towards the area of Nungwi or Matemwe. Make sure to ask the driver to drop you off near the sign for Cheetah's Rock, which is located on the main road. Once you are dropped off, walk towards the indicated direction (look for signs or ask locals) until you reach the entrance of Cheetah's Rock.

  • Dala-Dala (Minibus)

    From the main bus station in Zanzibar City, you can catch a dala-dala heading towards Nungwi. The fare is quite cheap, and you will need to pay the conductor once you are on board. Let the conductor know that you are going to Cheetah's Rock. After about 30-40 minutes of travel, the driver will drop you off at a junction where you can see signs for Cheetah's Rock. From there, it's a short walk to the entrance of the wildlife rescue service.

    If you prefer cycling, you can rent a bicycle from one of the many rental shops in Zanzibar City. Start your ride towards the north along the main road. Follow the signs leading to Nungwi, and as you approach the area, keep an eye out for signs for Cheetah's Rock.
