Getting There

  • Car

    From Rwenzori Mountains National Park, drive south on the A109 towards Kasese. Continue on the A109 until you reach the town of Kabale. From Kabale, take the Kabale-Kisoro Road towards Kisoro. Bwindi Impenetrable Forest is located near the town of Buhoma, which is accessible via a turn off from the Kabale-Kisoro Road.

    From Rwenzori Mountains National Park, you can take a matatu (shared minibus) or bus to Kabale. From Kabale, you can then take a taxi or boda boda (motorcycle taxi) towards Kisoro. Once in Kisoro, you can arrange for a special hire taxi to take you to Bwindi Impenetrable Forest near Buhoma.
