Getting There

    If you are starting from the Durham Cathedral, exit the Cathedral grounds and head down the stone steps towards the river. Once you reach the bottom, turn left onto the path that follows the River Wear. Continue walking until you reach the Elvet Bridge. Cross the bridge and continue straight onto North Road. Follow North Road until you reach the Market Place, which is located straight ahead.

    From Durham Train Station, exit the station and turn left onto Station Approach. Walk straight until you reach a roundabout. Take the first exit onto North Road. Continue walking up North Road, crossing several roads including the A690. Stay on North Road until you arrive at the Market Place.
