Getting There

  • Walking

    If you're starting from the city center (e.g., Princes Street), head towards Lothian Road. Walk along Lothian Road until you reach the junction with Bread Street. Turn left onto Bread Street and continue straight until you reach the end of the street, where it merges into the Grassmarket area. From there, head north towards Victoria Street, and continue walking until you reach the junction with the Cowgate. Cross the Cowgate and continue on to the Grassmarket. Keep heading north until you reach the Royal Mile. Once you’re on the Royal Mile, follow it east until you arrive at St. John’s Road. Turn left onto St. John’s Road and continue straight for about 1 mile until you see a sign for Dean Village. Follow the signs and take a left on to Dean Path. Continue walking straight until you reach 69A Dean Path, where The Dean is located.

  • Bus

    From the city center, catch a number 27 or 42 bus from Waverley Bridge or the nearby bus stops. Take the bus in the direction of 'Silverknowes'. After about 15 minutes, disembark at the 'Dean Bridge' stop. From the bus stop, walk back down the road slightly and then take a right onto Dean Path. Continue straight along Dean Path for approximately 10 minutes until you reach 69A Dean Path, where The Dean is situated.

    From the city center, board the tram at any stop along Princes Street, heading towards 'York Place'. Get off at the 'West End - Princes Street' tram stop.
