Walking
If you are starting from the Edinburgh Waverley Train Station, exit the station and head towards Market Street. Turn right onto Market Street and walk straight until you reach the junction with the North Bridge. Cross the North Bridge and continue straight onto the High Street (Royal Mile). Walk along the Royal Mile, passing notable sites like St. Giles' Cathedral. After about 10 minutes, you will reach the junction with George IV Bridge. Turn left onto George IV Bridge, and continue walking until you see the entrance to Greyfriars Kirkyard on your right. Enter the kirkyard, and Thomas Riddell's Grave is located towards the back of the cemetery, near the wall.

Public Transport (Bus)
From the city center, you can take Lothian Buses number 3, 5, 7, 8, 14, 29, or 31. Board the bus at any stop along Princes Street. Request to get off at the 'George IV Bridge' stop. Once you get off, walk a short distance back towards the intersection with the Royal Mile. Turn left into the Royal Mile and continue until you reach George IV Bridge. Turn left onto George IV Bridge and look for the entrance to Greyfriars Kirkyard on your right. After entering the kirkyard, walk towards the back to find Thomas Riddell's Grave.

Walking from Edinburgh Castle
If you are at Edinburgh Castle, exit from the castle gates and head down Castlehill towards the Royal Mile. Once you reach the Royal Mile, turn right and walk along the street. Continue straight until you reach the junction with George IV Bridge. Turn left onto George IV Bridge and look for the entrance to Greyfriars Kirkyard on your right. After entering the kirkyard, proceed towards the back of the cemetery to find Thomas Riddell's Grave.
