If you're starting from Liverpool Lime Street Station, exit the station and walk towards the main road, Lime Street. Turn left onto Lime Street and continue walking until you reach the corner of St John's Lane. Here, turn right onto St John's Lane, which will lead you to St. George's Hall. Continue straight past St. George's Hall and follow the road until you reach the junction with William Brown Street. Cross over to the other side and continue straight onto the large open square known as St. John's Gardens. From St. John's Gardens, head towards the waterfront area, passing the Museum of Liverpool. Continue walking along the waterfront until you reach the Pier Head area. The Liverbird Monument is located at St Nicholas Place, which is a short walk from the waterfront.

If you're near the Liverpool ONE shopping area, you can catch a bus heading towards the city center. Look for the number 79 or 86 bus, which will take you to the Pier Head area. Once you arrive, walk towards the waterfront and follow the signs to the Liverbird Monument located at St Nicholas Place. Alternatively, you can take the Merseyrail train from Liverpool Central Station to James Street Station, and from there, it's about a 10-minute walk to the monument. Exit the station, head onto Castle Street, take a left onto Water Street, and continue towards the waterfront until you reach the monument.
