Walking
From the Quayside area, head towards the Gateshead Millennium Bridge. Once you reach the bridge, cross over to the Gateshead side. After crossing, turn left and walk along the river until you reach the Sage Gateshead. From there, continue walking along the Quayside until you see the iconic BALTIC Centre for Contemporary Art. Keep walking along the river, and you will eventually see the Tyne Bridge ahead. Continue walking until you reach the Newcastle side of the river.

Once on the Newcastle side, head towards the Quayside area and look for the signposts directing you to the city center. Walk up the hill towards the Castle Garth area. As you approach, you will see the Newcastle Castle entrance at The Black Gate on Castle Garth. The exact address is The Black Gate, Castle Garth, Newcastle upon Tyne NE1 1RQ.

Public Transport (Bus)
If you prefer not to walk, you can take a bus from the Quayside. Look for the nearest bus stop and catch the Q3 or Q1 bus toward the city center. After approximately 5 minutes, get off at the 'Castle Garth' stop. From there, it's just a short walk to Newcastle Castle. Make sure to have some change for the bus fare, which is typically around £2-£3.
