If you are driving, use your GPS to navigate to Bardon Mill, Hexham NE47 7BP. From the Northumberland Coast, take the A1 road south. Then, exit onto the A69 towards Hexham. After approximately 18 miles, take the exit for Bardon Mill. Follow local signs to the National Trust - Allen Banks and Staward Gorge. There is a car park available on-site, but please note that there may be a parking charge for non-members.

Public Transport
If you are using public transport, take a train from Newcastle to Hexham. Trains run regularly, and the journey takes about 30 minutes. Upon arriving at Hexham station, take bus number 685 towards Haydon Bridge and get off at the Bardon Mill stop. From the bus stop, it is about a 15-minute walk to the entrance of Allen Banks and Staward Gorge. Be sure to check the bus timetable for return services to ensure you can get back to Hexham station.

If you are already in Bardon Mill, you can walk to the National Trust - Allen Banks and Staward Gorge. From the village, head northeast on the main road and follow the signs for the gorge.
