Getting There
Walking
Start at the entrance of the Sistine Chapel. Exit the chapel and head towards the main exit of the Vatican Museums. Once you are outside, turn left onto Viale Vaticano. Continue walking straight until you reach the intersection with Via Leone IV. Cross the street and proceed straight onto Via della Stazione di San Pietro. Follow this road until you reach the train station, Stazione di San Pietro. From here, take the train towards Roma Ostiense. After a few stops, disembark at Roma Ostiense station. Once you exit the station, head southeast on Via Ostiense towards Via del Mare. After a short walk, you will arrive at Centrale Montemartini located at Via Ostiense, 106.
Public Transport
From the Sistine Chapel, exit towards the Vatican Museums' main exit and immediately turn left onto Viale Vaticano. Walk straight until you reach the bus stop at the intersection with Via Leone IV. Take Bus 64 towards Stazione Termini. Ride the bus for about 10 minutes and get off at the stop named 'Piazza Venezia'. From there, transfer to Tram Line 3 towards Trastevere and get off at the stop 'Ostiense'. Once you exit the tram, walk southeast on Via Ostiense for about 10 minutes until you reach your destination at Via Ostiense, 106.
Taxi or Rideshare
From the Sistine Chapel, you can request a taxi or a rideshare service like Uber. Simply exit the chapel and head towards the main Vatican Museums exit. At the entrance, you will find designated taxi stands. Inform the driver that you want to go to 'Centrale Montemartini' at Via Ostiense, 106. The ride should take around 15-20 minutes depending on traffic.
