Exit the Sistine Chapel and head towards the Vatican Museums entrance. Once you reach the main street, turn left onto Viale Vaticano. Continue walking straight until you reach the intersection with Via delle Fondamenta. Turn right onto Via delle Fondamenta and keep walking until you reach Piazza San Giovanni in Laterano. From there, you can take Via Merulana to reach Piazza di Santa Maria Maggiore. After visiting the Basilica, head towards Via Carlo Alberto, then take a left on Via di Villa Peretti. Continue straight until you reach the intersection with Via delle Terme di Caracalla. Turn right, and you will see the entrance to the Giardino degli Aranci on your left, located at Piazza Pietro D'Illiria.

From the Sistine Chapel, walk to the nearest bus stop at Piazza San Pietro. Take bus number 87 towards 'Mausoleo di Augusto.' Get off at the stop 'Piazza di Porta San Paolo.' From there, walk towards the Tiber River, cross the bridge, and follow Via di Porta San Paolo until you reach Viale delle Terme di Caracalla. Turn left and walk until you reach the intersection with Via di Villa Peretti. The Giardino degli Aranci will be on your left at Piazza Pietro D'Illiria.
