Walking
From the entrance of the Sistine Chapel, exit and head towards the main corridor that leads to the Vatican Museums. Continue walking straight until you reach the exit of the Vatican Museums. Upon exiting, turn right and walk along Viale Vaticano. Keep walking straight until you reach the intersection with Via Leone IV. At this intersection, turn left onto Via Leone IV and continue straight. After a short walk, you will reach the bustling Piazza dei Calcarari on your left.
Walking
If you are at the Vatican Museums' main exit, instead of turning left onto Viale Vaticano, turn right and walk towards Via di Porta Angelica. Follow this street until you reach the intersection with Via della Conciliazione. Turn left onto Via della Conciliazione and continue walking straight. After a few minutes, you will find Piazza dei Calcarari to your right, a vibrant area with shops and dining options.
Public Transport (Bus)
From the Sistine Chapel, exit and head towards the nearest bus stop at Viale Vaticano. Look for bus number 81 or 492. Catch the bus heading towards 'Piazza di Risorgimento'. After a couple of stops, get off at the 'Piazza dei Calcarari' stop. From there, follow the signs to explore the area.
