Getting There

• Car

  If you are driving, start from the Harpers Ferry National Historical Park Visitor Center located at 171 Shoreline Drive, Harpers Ferry, WV 25425. Head south on Shoreline Drive and turn right onto US-340 S. Continue on US-340 S for about 2 miles, then take the exit toward Harpers Ferry. Follow the signs for Harpers Ferry and merge onto Washington Street. After about half a mile, turn left onto Murphy Road. Continue for about 0.5 miles, and you will reach Murphy Farm at 123 Murphy Rd, Harpers Ferry, WV 25425. Parking is available near the farm.

  If you are relying on public transportation, you can take the MARC train from Washington, D.C. to Harpers Ferry. The train arrives at the Harpers Ferry station. From the station, you will need to take a taxi or rideshare service to reach Murphy Farm. Taxis are typically available at the station, or you can use apps like Uber or Lyft. The distance from the train station to Murphy Farm is approximately 2 miles, and taxi fares may range between $10-$15.

• Walking

  For those who prefer to walk from the Harpers Ferry National Historical Park Visitor Center, you can start walking towards Murphy Farm. Head south on Shoreline Drive, then turn right onto US-340 S. Walk for about 2 miles until you reach the intersection with Murphy Road. Turn left onto Murphy Road and continue walking for about half a mile. Keep in mind that this is a long walk, approximately 2.5 miles one way, so plan accordingly and wear comfortable shoes.
