Getting There

  • Driving

    The Grand Canyon Lodge is located at the end of Highway 67 on the North Rim. From Jacob Lake, AZ, take Highway 67 south for 44 miles. The entrance to Grand Canyon National Park is 30 miles south of Jacob Lake. After entering the park, it is an additional 15 miles to the rim and lodge. Note that the North Rim is only open from May 15 to October 15. Entrance fees to the park are $35 per vehicle, $30 per motorcycle, or $20 per person entering by foot, bicycle, or shuttle bus, valid for seven days and includes access to both the North and South Rims. Credit or debit card only; no cash is accepted at the entrance stations. Parking is available at the Grand Canyon Lodge and the North Rim Campground. Limited parking is available.

  • Shuttle

    While there is no shuttle service around the North Rim , the Trans-Canyon Shuttle provides seasonal service between the North and South Rims. This service is available from May 15 through October 15. The journey takes approximately 4.5 hours. This shuttle is also available for backcountry hikers with permits from October 16 through November 30. A free shuttle takes hikers from the Grand Canyon Lodge to the North Kaibab Trailhead twice a day, early in the morning. Reservations can be made at the front desk 24 hours in advance.
