Explore the Scenic Trails of Agua Caliente Hill South Trailhead

Car

If you are driving to the Agua Caliente Hill South Trailhead, start by entering Saguaro National Park from the eastern side at the East Entrance. Follow the park road until you reach the junction with Camino Loma Alta. Turn left onto Camino Loma Alta and continue until you reach the intersection with N Cam Cantil. Turn right onto N Cam Cantil, and follow the road until you see the Agua Caliente Hill South Trailhead on your left. There is no entrance fee for the trailhead itself, but be aware that there may be an entrance fee for Saguaro National Park (currently $25 per vehicle for a 7-day pass).

Public Transportation

To reach the Agua Caliente Hill South Trailhead via public transportation, you will first need to take a bus to Tucson. From Tucson, you can catch a taxi or rideshare service to get to the trailhead. The closest public transit stop is at the intersection of E Tanque Verde Rd and N Sabino Canyon Rd. From there, a taxi or rideshare can take you directly to the trailhead. Be sure to check local bus schedules for the best routes and times, as public transportation options may be limited.

Biking

If you prefer biking, you can bike to Agua Caliente Hill South Trailhead from nearby locations. From the East Entrance of Saguaro National Park, take the paved roads leading into the park. Ensure that you follow the same route as if you were driving. There are bike racks available at the trailhead for securing your bike while you hike. Please note that riding on trails is generally not permitted, so adhere to the designated paved roads.
