To reach Nelson Falls by car, start from Hobart, the capital of Tasmania. Take the Brooker Highway (A10) north until you reach the junction with the Midland Highway (A1). Turn left onto the Midland Highway and continue until you reach the junction with the Lyell Highway (A10) near Oatlands. Turn right onto the Lyell Highway and continue for approximately 80 kilometers until you see the signs for Nelson Falls. There is a parking area available near the falls, and entry is free.
