Getting There

Car
If you are traveling by car, start from the Cradle Mountain Visitor Centre. Take the C132 road south towards Lake St Clair. After approximately 45 minutes, you will reach the Lake St Clair National Park entrance. Make sure you have purchased a Parks Pass at the entrance, which costs around AUD 24 per vehicle for 24 hours. Continue on the C132 until you reach the Lake St Clair area. Look for the signs directing you to the Narcissus Hut trailhead, which is located near the boat ramp at the northern end of Lake St Clair. Park your car at the designated parking area.

Public Transportation
For those using public transportation, take a bus from Launceston or Hobart to the town of Derwent Bridge. From Derwent Bridge, you can catch a shuttle service to the Lake St Clair National Park. Be sure to check the shuttle schedule in advance as services may vary. Once at the park, you will need to walk to the Narcissus Hut trailhead located near the Lake St Clair boat ramp. The walk from the park entrance to the hut is approximately 1 km and will take around 20 minutes. Make sure you have appropriate footwear and water for the walk.

If you are already in the park and prefer hiking, you can begin your trek from the Lake St Clair visitor area. Follow the marked trail towards Narcissus Hut, which is part of the Overland Track.
