Getting There

Walking
If you are starting from the Hallstatt Market Square, head east towards the lakefront, passing the Hallstatt Museum. Continue walking along the lake until you reach the path that leads up to the cemetery. Follow the signs for 'Friedhof' (Cemetery). Once you enter the cemetery, look for the Charnel House, which is located at Friedhof 164, a short walk inside the cemetery grounds.

From the Hallstatt Train Station, exit and head towards the lake. Walk straight towards the village center, following the signs to the market square. From the market square, follow the previous directions to reach the Charnel House.
