Car
If you're driving from South Lake Tahoe, head northwest on US-50 W. Continue for approximately 10 miles. Look for the signs for Emerald Bay State Park. Take the exit for Emerald Bay Road (CA-89 N) and follow it for about 3 miles. You will see signs for Inspiration Point. The parking lot is located just before the viewpoint itself. Note that there is a parking fee of $10 per vehicle for the state park.

Public Transportation
To reach Inspiration Point using public transportation, take the BlueGo bus service from South Lake Tahoe. Board the bus at any of the designated stops in South Lake Tahoe and ride to the Emerald Bay stop. From there, you will need to walk approximately 1 mile uphill to reach Inspiration Point. Be sure to check the bus schedule in advance as service may be limited during off-peak seasons.
