After about 50 miles, merge onto CA-145 which will lead you to the town of Madera. Continue on CA-145 until it intersects with CA-41 again. From there, follow CA-41 north until you reach the junction with CA-198. Take CA-198 east towards Sequoia National Park. Follow CA-198 for about 30 miles and then turn onto Generals Highway (CA-198) which leads directly into the park where you can access various trailheads and wilderness areas.

  • Public Transportation

    For those relying on public transportation, take a Greyhound or Amtrak bus to Fresno. From Fresno, you can use the Sequoia Shuttle service, which operates during the summer months. The shuttle will take you from Fresno to various points in Sequoia and Kings Canyon National Parks. Check the shuttle schedule ahead of time as it may have limited hours. Once in the park, you'll need to hike or use park shuttles to access different areas within Sequoia-Kings Canyon Wilderness.
