    From Avarua, take the local bus that heads towards Avatiu. Inform the driver you wish to visit Te Rua Manga. Alight at the nearest bus stop to Te Rua Manga, typically around Avarua. From the bus stop, it is about a 15-minute walk to the trailhead. Follow the signs towards the trail. Rarotonga has a public bus service that travels both clockwise and anti-clockwise. Buses operate every hour from 7 am to 10 pm, Monday through Saturday. A single bus fare will cost around $3 - $12.

  • Car

    From Avarua town center, head south on Ara Tapu (the main road). Turn right onto the road leading to Avatiu. Continue until you see signs for Te Rua Manga. There is limited parking available near the trailhead, so arrive early. Be aware of the narrow roads and local driving customs. Car rentals are available in Avarua. Expect to pay around $17 - $21 for a short taxi trip.
