From the center of Avarua, head towards the main road that runs parallel to the coast, known as Ara Tapu. Walk along this road for about 20 minutes. Keep the ocean on your right-hand side. Look for signs pointing towards Black Rock. The entrance to Black Rock will be visible along the road, and it is located near the water's edge.
Bicycle
If you have a bicycle, start from Avarua town center and cycle along Ara Tapu road towards the west. After about 15-20 minutes of cycling, you will pass several local shops. Continue on the same road until you see the signs for Black Rock. The entrance is located right by the ocean, making it a picturesque ride.
Public Transportation
Catch a local bus from Avarua heading towards the western side of the island. Inform the driver that you want to go to Black Rock. The bus ride will take approximately 15 minutes. Once you reach the stop, walk towards the water, and you will see the entrance to Black Rock nearby.
