From the center of Avarua, head towards the main road that runs parallel to the coast, known as Ara Tapu. Walk along this road for about 20 minutes. Keep the ocean on your right-hand side. Look for signs pointing towards Black Rock. The entrance to Black Rock will be visible along the road, and it is located near the water's edge.

If you have a bicycle, start from Avarua town center and cycle along Ara Tapu road towards the west. After about 15-20 minutes of cycling, you will pass several local shops. Continue on the same road until you see the signs for Black Rock. The entrance is located right by the ocean, making it a picturesque ride.
