Getting There

• Car

  From any point in Chirripó National Park, make your way to the town of San Gerardo de Rivas. If you're coming from the park's entrance, take the road leading to San Gerardo. Once in San Gerardo, look for signs pointing to Cloudbridge Nature Reserve. The reserve is located 2 km east of the local school in San José, San Gerardo. You will follow the main road through the village, and after about 2 km, you will see the entrance to Cloudbridge on your right. Note that parking is available at the reserve, and no additional cost is required for parking.

• Public Transportation

  If you are using public transportation, you can take a bus from San Isidro de El General to San Gerardo de Rivas. The bus departs regularly from the San Isidro bus terminal and costs around 1,500 to 2,000 CRC (Costa Rican colons). Once you arrive in San Gerardo, walk towards the center of town and ask for directions to Cloudbridge Nature Reserve. It's approximately a 2 km walk east from the local school. Alternatively, you could hire a local taxi, which should cost around 2,000 to 3,000 CRC to take you directly to the reserve if you prefer not to walk.

• Taxi

  For a more direct approach, you can hire a taxi from San Isidro de El General or within San Gerardo de Rivas. Taxis are readily available and can take you directly to Cloudbridge Nature Reserve. Expect to pay around 15,000 to 20,000 CRC for a taxi ride from San Isidro to the reserve, and around 2,000 to 3,000 CRC for a local taxi from within San Gerardo.
