In San Isidro, follow the signs to Route 219 towards Parque Nacional Chirripó. Keep driving on Route 219 for about 20 kilometers until you reach the park entrance at GG74+95C, Pérez Zeledón. Make sure to check the park's operating hours as it opens at 8 AM and closes at 4 PM.

    For public transportation, take a bus from San José to San Isidro de El General. Buses depart from the Terminal de Buses de San José and the journey takes approximately 3 hours. Once in San Isidro, transfer to a local bus heading towards the entrance of Parque Nacional Chirripó. Make sure to confirm with the bus driver that the bus stops at the park entrance at GG74+95C, as some may not go directly there. Again, be mindful of the park's operating hours—arrive early to ensure you have enough time for your visit.
