Getting There

• Car

  If you are driving, begin your journey from the center of Chamonix. Head south on Rue du Docteur Paccard toward Avenue Michel Croz. Continue straight onto Route Blanche/D1506. Follow D1506 for approximately 1.5 km. Look for signs for Flégère; turn right onto Chemin de Servitude des Chesery. Free parking is available nearby, but be aware that it can fill up quickly during peak tourist seasons.

• Public Transportation

  To reach Chemin de Servitude des Chesery à la Flégère using public transport, start from the Chamonix town center. Head to the Chamonix Sud bus station. Take the bus line 5 (to Les Praz - Flégère). The journey takes about 10 minutes. Get off at the Flégère lift station. From there, follow the signs for Chemin de Servitude des Chesery, which is a short walk (about 10-15 minutes) from the lift station. Check the local bus schedule for any seasonal changes and fares, which are typically around €1.50.

• Walking

  If you prefer to walk and are staying in Chamonix, start at the Chamonix train station. From the station, walk along Rue du Docteur Paccard, then follow the signs towards the Flégère lift station. It’s about a 30-40 minute walk (around 2.5 km) with scenic views along the way. Once you reach the Flégère lift, continue on foot following the Chemin de Servitude des Chesery trail signs. Make sure to wear comfortable shoes, as the path may be uneven.
