If you're traveling by car, start from the town of Egilsstaðir, which is a central point in the Eastern Region. Head northwest on Route 1 (the Ring Road) for approximately 22 km. Look for the sign for Road 92 towards Seyðisfjörður and turn left onto this road. Continue on Road 92 for about 7 km until you reach the intersection with Road 93. Turn right onto Road 93 and follow it for another 18 km. You will see signs for Drekagil, which leads you directly to the ravine. There is no entrance fee, and parking is available near the entrance.
