From the town of Höfn, take Route 1 (the Ring Road) heading northwest towards Vatnajökull National Park. Drive for approximately 80 kilometers until you reach the junction with Route 939. Turn onto Route 939, which leads into the park. Continue on this route for about 45 kilometers, where you'll encounter a rough gravel road leading to Kverkfjöll. Please note that a 4x4 vehicle is recommended for this stretch due to rough terrain. The drive from Höfn to Kverkfjöll may take around 2 to 3 hours depending on road conditions.
