If you are traveling by car, start your journey from Reykjavík. Head east on Route 1 (the Ring Road) for approximately 130 km until you reach the junction with Route 30. Turn left onto Route 30 and continue for about 19 km. Then, turn onto Route 32 towards Þingvellir National Park. After about 30 km, continue onto Route 26, then take a right onto Route 208, which leads you into the highlands. Follow Route 208 until you reach the Landmannalaugar area. Note that a 4x4 vehicle is recommended due to rough terrain. Once you arrive at the Landmannalaugar parking area, you can start your hike towards the Landmannalaugar gönguleið.
