From Reykjavík Capital Area, head east on Route 1 (the Ring Road) for approximately 40 kilometers (about 40 minutes). Take the exit for Route 36 towards Þingvellir National Park. Continue on Route 36 for about 11 kilometers until you see signs for Þingvellir. Follow the signs into the national park, where you'll find parking areas. Silfra Fissure is located within Þingvellir National Park; once parked, follow the trail signs leading to the Silfra Fissure.
