If you are driving from central Reykjavík, head southwest on Hringbraut (Route 49). Continue on this road for about 8 km. After you see the sign for Vallarvegur, turn left onto Vallarvegur. Continue on Vallarvegur for about 1 km until you reach Vatnskot, located at Vallarvegur, 806. There is parking available near the site.

To reach Vatnskot via public transportation, start at the central bus station, Hlemmur. Take bus number 14 towards 'Hagakot' and get off at the 'Hraunbær' stop. From there, you will need to walk approximately 20 minutes southwest. Head down the road past Vallarvegur until you reach Vatnskot at Vallarvegur, 806. Note that bus tickets cost around 490 ISK per person, and you can buy them at ticket machines or via the Strætó app.
