Take Route 26 towards Hella and continue for about 30 kilometers. Look for the sign for Landmannaleið and turn onto this road. Please note that this road is a gravel road and may require a 4x4 vehicle. Drive for approximately 20 kilometers until you reach Fjallabak Nature Reserve, which will be on your right.

    To reach Fjallabak Nature Reserve using public transportation, start by taking a bus from Reykjavik to Hella. The bus company is called Strætó, and you can check their schedule online. Once you arrive in Hella, transfer to a regional bus that goes to Landmannaleið. The bus may not run frequently, so plan your trip accordingly. Once on the bus to Landmannaleið, enjoy the scenic views as you get closer to your destination. The bus will drop you off at a stop near Fjallabak Nature Reserve, from where you can walk to the entrance.
