Experience Akizuki Castle Ruins

Getting There

  • Train

    From Fukuoka City, head to Hakata Station. Take the JR Kagoshima Line towards Tosu. Get off at Chikugo-Funaguchi Station. The journey takes about 30 minutes. Once you arrive, exit the station and look for the local bus stop.

  • Bus

    At Chikugo-Funaguchi Station, board the Nishitetsu bus bound for Akizuki. The bus ride will take approximately 25 minutes. Make sure to inform the driver of your destination or check the bus schedule to ensure you get on the right bus. Get off at the Akizuki stop.

  • Walking

    After getting off at the Akizuki stop, follow the signs towards Akizuki Castle Ruins. The castle ruins are about a 15-minute walk from the bus stop. Head southeast on Route 200, then turn left onto a smaller road that leads up to the ruins. You will see signs directing you to the entrance.
