Car
If you are driving from Hakone, head northeast on Route 1 (National Route 1) towards Kamakura. Continue for about 30 kilometers. Once you reach Kamakura, follow the signs to Nikaidō. Turn left onto Route 204, then take the first right onto Nikaidō. Kamakuragu will be on your left at 154 Nikaidō. There is parking available nearby, but be mindful of parking fees which may incur.

To reach Kamakuragu using public transport, start at Hakone-Yumoto Station. Take the Hakone Tozan Railway to Odawara Station (about 15 minutes). At Odawara Station, transfer to the JR Tōkaidō Line and head towards Kamakura Station (about 30 minutes). From Kamakura Station, take a bus (Enoshima Dentetsu) towards Nikaidō and get off at the 'Kamakuragu-mae' stop. The shrine is a short walk from the bus stop. Ensure to check the bus schedule, as they may not run frequently.

If you prefer to take a bus directly from Hakone, you can catch a bus from the Hakone area to Kamakura. Look for the Odakyu Hakone Highway Bus that goes to Kamakura Station. The journey takes approximately 1 hour. From Kamakura Station, you can either walk or take a local bus to Kamakuragu. The bus fare will vary, so be prepared with cash for the fare.
