Getting There

  • Car

    If you are driving from Hakone, take the Odawara-Atsugi Road (Route 1) towards Kamakura. Follow Route 1 for approximately 30 km. Once you reach Kamakura, continue on Route 1 until you see signs for Tokei-ji, which is located at 1367 Yamanouchi, Kamakura, Kanagawa. There is parking available nearby, but please be aware that parking fees may apply, typically ranging from 300 to 500 yen per hour.

  • Train and Walk

    To reach Tokei-ji using public transportation, start by taking the Odakyu Line from Hakone-Yumoto Station. Board a train towards Odawara Station and transfer to the JR Yokosuka Line. From Odawara Station, take the Yokosuka Line to Kamakura Station. This journey takes around 40-50 minutes, and you will need to pay approximately 1,000 yen for the ticket. Upon arriving at Kamakura Station, exit the station and walk for about 20 minutes to Tokei-ji, following the signs or using a map application on your smartphone.
