Car
If you are driving from central Hitachi, head south on Route 6 (also known as the Joban Expressway) towards Mito. Continue on this road for approximately 30 kilometers, then take the exit towards Tsukuba. Merge onto Route 354 and follow the signs for Tsukuba. After about 10 kilometers, merge onto the Ibaraki Prefectural Road 3, which will lead you towards Tokyo. Continue straight for about 50 kilometers until you reach the Chiyoda City area in Tokyo. From Hitachi Station, take the Joban Line train towards Ueno Station. This journey takes approximately 1 hour and 30 minutes.
