If you are driving from central Hitachi, take Route 6 (National Route 6) towards Mito City and follow the signs for the Joban Expressway. Merge onto the Joban Expressway and continue until you reach the exit for Tsuchiura. From the Tsuchiura exit, take Route 125 towards Asakusa. After approximately 50 km, you will arrive in Tokyo. Follow signs to Asakusa, and you will find parking options nearby. Keep in mind that parking fees may apply, typically around ¥300-¥500 per hour.

To reach Nitenmon Gate using public transportation, start by heading to Hitachi Station. From there, take the JR Joban Line towards Ueno Station. This journey will take approximately 1 hour. Once you arrive at Ueno Station, transfer to the Tokyo Metro Ginza Line. Take the Ginza Line towards Asakusa Station, which is just a 5-minute ride. Upon exiting Asakusa Station, follow the signs to Senso-ji Temple, and Nitenmon Gate will be located at the entrance of the temple complex. The total cost for this trip will be around ¥1,500.

If you prefer to take a bus, start at Hitachi Station and look for the bus terminal nearby. Take a highway bus that heads towards Tokyo (you may need to check the latest schedules).
