If you are traveling by car, start by heading towards the Daisetsu Expressway (道央自動車道). From Sapporo, take the expressway towards Asahikawa. After about 1.5 hours, take the exit for Furano (富良野). Continue along Route 237 (国道237号) for approximately 20 minutes. You will see signs for the Furano City Museum (富良野市立博物館) as you approach the city. The exact address is 〒079-1582 Hokkaido, Furano, Yamabe, Higashi 21 Sen−１２ 生涯学習センタ. Parking is available on site.

Public Transportation - Train
To reach Furano City Museum via public transport, take the JR (Japan Rail) train from Sapporo Station to Furano Station. The train ride takes about 2.5 to 3 hours, depending on the service. Upon arrival at Furano Station, you can either take a taxi to the museum (about a 10-minute drive) or catch the local bus. If you choose the bus, take the Furano City Bus (富良野市バス) bound for 'Kita no Kaze' and get off at the 'Furano City Museum' stop. The bus fare is around 400 yen.
