    From Ito Station, take a Tokai Bus towards Shaboten Koen. The journey takes approximately 35 minutes and costs 880 yen. Get off at the final stop, Shaboten Koen, and walk a short distance up the hill to the zoo entrance. Alternatively, from Izu Kogen Station, take a bus towards Shaboten Koen. This ride takes about 20 minutes and costs 430 yen. Discount bus passes are available at Ito and Izu Kogen Stations. A 1-day pass costs 1250 yen and a 2-day pass costs 1800 yen. The trip from Izu Kogen Station is covered by both passes, while the trip from Ito Station is only covered by the 2-day pass.

The zoo is located near the strikingly shaped Mount Omuro, a volcanic cone near central Ito.
