Getting There

    If you are driving from the center of Izumi, head southwest on Route 3 towards Hitoyoshi. Continue on Route 3 for about 30 kilometers, following the signs for Hitoyoshi. Once you arrive in Hitoyoshi, turn left onto Kamiaoimachi Street. Continue on Kamiaoimachi Street for about 1 kilometer, and you will see Aoi Aso Shrine on your right at 118 Kamiaoimachi. There is parking available nearby.

    To reach Aoi Aso Shrine by public transportation, take the JR Hisatsu Line train from Izumi Station towards Yatsushiro. Get off at Hitoyoshi Station, which is approximately a 30-minute ride. Upon exiting Hitoyoshi Station, you can take a local bus or a taxi. If you choose the bus, board the bus heading towards Kamiaoimachi and get off at the Kamiaoimachi stop. From there, it is a short 10-minute walk to Aoi Aso Shrine located at 118 Kamiaoimachi. Just follow the signs leading to the shrine.
