If you are traveling by car from Tokyo, take the Kan-Etsu Expressway (関越自動車道) heading towards Nagano. The journey will take approximately 2.5 to 3 hours depending on traffic. Exit at the Karuizawa IC (軽井沢インターチェンジ) and follow the signs for Route 146. Continue on Route 146, then turn onto Route 18.
